Graduate Student
Kinetics of Histone Methylation

Undergraduate: University of Wisconsin - Madison - laboratory of Dr. Eric Strieter

Research Interest: I'm interested in understanding the kinetics of histone methyl transferases (HMTs) in vitro and other associated proteins that establish and spread heterochromatin to inform models of the spreading mechanism. Currently I am investigating how  protein complex subunits modifiy HMT enzymatic activity.

I like to play frisbee, cook, and bike around San Francisco. My favorite animes are Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, and Samurai Champloo. I'm still more of a porter/stout kind of guy, though California's rich IPA culture is starting to grow on me.
